Mal P Braich.
Chief Operating Officer
Mal Braich brings over 42 years of experience in the real estate and construction industry to his role as Chief Operating Officer of United Five Construction. A third-generation builder and certified New Jersey Construction Code Official since 2014, Mal combines deep technical expertise with hands-on leadership across a wide spectrum of projects from custom residential builds to complex, large-scale commercial developments.
He holds a Graduate Degree in Construction Management and Real Estate Development from New York University and has successfully led and delivered projects in both private and public sectors. Throughout his career, Mal has been recognized for his ability to streamline operations, ensure compliance, and drive projects to completion with precision and efficiency. At United Five Construction, Mal oversees day-to-day operations, aligning field execution with executive strategy. Leveraging his decades of expertise, he ensures seamless collaboration between project teams, clients, and regulatory agencies, while upholding UFC’s standards of safety, quality, and innovation.
Philip Mezzatesta.
Vice President
Philip Mezzatesta brings an extensive background in construction and regulatory compliance to his role as Vice President of United Five Construction. With 17 years of service at the NYC Department of Buildings (DOB), he retired as a Chief Inspector, where he played a pivotal role in enhancing citywide building safety. During his tenure, Philip spearheaded the creation of a specialized task force dedicated to inspecting the façades of NYC buildings, ensuring compliance with structural integrity and safety regulations.
Beyond his government service, Philip is a retired contractor with exceptional expertise in carpentry, giving him firsthand knowledge of the construction process from both regulatory and hands-on perspectives. At United Five Construction, he oversees business operations, client relations, and construction management, with a strong emphasis on the design-build sector. His leadership ensures that projects are executed efficiently, meeting the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance.

Eng Usman Javaid.
Lead Engineer
Usman is a civil engineer, registered and holding a graduate degree, boasting over 12 years of expertise in the construction realm. Throughout his career, he has served as a proficient project manager and coordinator, spearheading the successful execution of numerous projects across the United States. Usman’s forte lies in deciphering intricate drawings with precision, crafting competitive price proposals, and generating comprehensive estimates that speak for themselves.
Jim Henrichsen.
Senior Project Manager
Jim Henrichsen is a construction professional with 38 years of hands-on and leadership experience. He began as a residential carpenter in 1987, joined the union in 1999, and became a Construction Site Superintendent in 2000, then advanced steadily through senior superintendent and project management posts into executive-level and director roles overseeing multi-project portfolios, large teams, and complex budgets. Jim has worked across virtually every sector, including high-end and large-scale residential, hospitality, restaurant, hospital and medical, industrial, warehouse, and office fit-outs and renovations, plus ground-up builds from simple footings to complex pile and grade-beam foundations. His completed work spans from 3-month, 3,700 SF, $500,000 projects to 28-month, 187,000 SF, $127,000,000 full-building renovations. Known for consistent, clear communication, a collaborative leadership style, and meticulous attention to detail, he’s built a track record of safe, on-schedule, high-quality results.
Devin Gangadyal.
Project Manager
With over 15 years of experience in the construction industry, Devin has built a career defined by versatility, leadership, and a strong commitment to safety and project excellence.
He began his career as a Fire Protection Installer with Local 696, where he gained hands-on technical expertise and developed the foundation for a career that would expand into broader aspects of general construction. Over the years, Devin transitioned into roles of increasing responsibility, serving as Safety Director, Supply Chain Manager, and Laborer Supervisor for Local 79, where he managed labor contracts and large-scale workforce operations.
Devin later advanced into Special Projects Supervision and Management, leading high-profile projects that included upscale residential builds, technology-driven spaces such as Google AV Tech Rooms at Chelsea Market, and demolition initiatives at the Rockefeller Center. These roles sharpened his ability to oversee complex operations while coordinating with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Today, Devin serves as Vice President at NextWave Safety, where he leads client relations, develops Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and creates performance metrics designed to enhance revenue value and client satisfaction. His broad experience enables him to bridge field operations, executive leadership, and client engagement with a focus on driving both safety and efficiency.
Outside of his professional career, Devin is an avid homebody who enjoys building and designing projects at home. Inspired by the strong work ethic instilled by his immigrant parents, he brings dedication, resilience, and a solution-driven mindset to every endeavor.
Eng Renzo G Barsallo.
Geo Tech Engineer
Renzo G. Barsallo is a Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of New York with over 20 years of experience in the engineering and construction industry. As Tri State CM Group’s specialist in foundation, underpinning, and concrete engineering, he excels in solving geotechnical challenges within complex urban environments including designing plans.
Renzo obtained his professional licensure in 2011 and is a proud member of the American Society of Civil Engineers. He was honored with the prestigious Moles Award as an undergraduate and holds a Bachelor of Science from the State University of New York.
His deep technical expertise ensures the structural integrity and stability of UFC’s projects, making him a vital asset in delivering high-quality, safe, and efficient construction solutions.

Structural Engineer
Kamruz Zaman is a dedicated Structural Engineer at United Five Construction, with over 15 years of experience in structural design and construction. As a Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of New York, he is responsible for overseeing all structural design plans and ensuring their seamless execution in the field.

Hamza Naveed is a civil Engineer at Tri State CM Group, bringing two years of experience in the construction industry. With a strong focus on efficiency, he assists in team coordination, progress tracking, and ensuring projects stay on schedule and within budget. SENIOR DOB EXPEDITIOR & CONSULTANT
With over 30 years of experience, Walid Elhanafi is a seasoned DOB Expediter and Consultant specializing in navigating New York City’s complex building regulations. As Co-Owner of WJ Expediting, he has successfully managed thousands of filings and permits across all five boroughs. Walid’s deep expertise ensures Tri State Construction Management Group’s projects move efficiently through every stage of DOB compliance and approval. His precision and insight make him an essential part of the Tri State team.

Lead Foreman
Kev is the Lead Foreman at United Five Construction, bringing over 15 years of experience in union heavy construction. Born and raised in Brooklyn, he has built a career specializing in large-scale demolitions, excavations, masonry, and structural work for both residential and high-rise buildings.
As a hands-on leader, Kev oversees and mentors his team with a strong focus on efficiency, safety, and precision. He ensures that every project meets the highest standards while fostering a strong team dynamic on-site. Kev prioritizes safety as a core value, enforcing strict compliance with OSHA regulations and conducting thorough risk assessments to maintain a secure work environment.
Kev plays a crucial role in major infrastructure projects, including MTA developments and NYC construction initiatives. Currently, he is a key leader on the JFK Terminal 1 project team, where his expertise and leadership contribute to the project's success.
